My child doesn’t turn 3 until March 27, can they start kindergarten at the beginning of Term 1?

Back to FAQ's

Government legislation clearly states that children must turn 3 years of age before they can start 3 year old kindergarten.  There is a settling in period that takes place before your child begins classes full time.  If your child turns 3 after the start of the term but before the 30th April, it is best to contact your educator directly about the settling process.

Please note: Children must turn 3 years of age by April 30 to be eligible for the 3 year old program.
