Interactions and behaviour management.
At Renown Kindergarten staff aim to develop relationships that are responsive, respectful and promote children’s sense of security and belonging that allows them to explore the environment and engage in learning. Staff endeavour to respond and interact with each child with warmth to build trusting relationships. Every child is given opportunity to engage in meaningful, open interactions that support the acquisition of skills for life and learning. The children are supported in learning how to work with, learn from and help others through collaborative learning opportunities. The children are supported to understand how their own actions affect others. The staff use behaviour guidance strategies that preserve the dignity and rights of the child at all times. Each child is supported to manage their own behaviour, respond appropriately to the behaviour of others, and communicate effectively to resolve conflicts. For more information please discuss with your child’s teacher or refer to Renown’s policy on Interactions with Children in our policy manual.
